BACKGROUND: Robert Patterson is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who wanted to set up a private practice in Co. Kerry, Ireland. Robert had clear views of what he needed – a counselling web design that was simple to use, with a clean, un-clutter, gender neutral design that focused on his service with a welcoming and non-specialist feel.
SOLUTION: A simple logo and colour pallet was developed before moving on to build a clean web design that allowed the content and imagery to come to the fore. The site was built on WordPress and tested across a range of devices and operating systems. To keep costs and development time down, a WooThemes premium theme was used as the basis for the website, which was then heavily customised. Basic key word research was conducted followed by onsite search engine optimisation (SEO) before registering the site with Google.
SERVICES: Web design, copywriting, editing, website theme development, keyword research and onsite SEO.
I first approached Chris after seeing some examples of his work for other counselling clients, which I found refreshing, and very different, to the generic sites that therapist’s usually have.
Although I had a very clear idea of what I wanted, I was unfamiliar with how to best market myself and my private practice. Chris was brilliant at showing me how I could best do this, and explained to me how to achieve a very professional finish on my limited budget.
I am extremely happy with the final result, and colleagues have commented on how good the new site looks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris, and found him extremely helpful and willing to explain things so that they made sense even to a novice like me. Thanks Chris for a First Class Job!
